IF I HAD SUPER POWERSIf I had super powers,
I would be the hero of all others, I would save lots of people on the ground, Making sure that they are home safe and sound. I would not be able to fly But so I wish I could try I will be cheered and praised for what I do, For some people might be jealous too, But I would not really care, For I know that I do not fear. If I had super powers I would be psychic like those tellers I would right away be able to tell whether or not someone is in danger, So when I do know will run as fast as a cheetah, Also as soon as I do reach I would kick and fight I would kick and fight like it's my right I would then save the person As well as to carry them to prison He will be very sad But the police will be very mad. If I had super powers, I would be like the clock ticking seconds and minutes and passing all the hours, With the power of spraying water and turning invisible, I could maybe appear in front of a criminal And spray him with my fancy portable He would run and flee like a spinning fan, But I would catch him with my stretchy hands, After I am done I will set out to do my other tasks, Since I will know that before I could even ask. If I has super powers, I would make this world better than others, I would work till the sun goes down, Making sure that my citizens are well and strong, If I have to be running up and down, It's for my people I will be doing for no matter how much some people may stand and frown, I will be sure that being a super hero for my country would be the best, Although sometimes I might need a big long rest. SINGLE PARENT POVERTY"O God! my child
He wasn't bad" In her stomach nose bile Oh where is his Dad? Dad you say lone gone Like a train in a station When young Devon was born My words to say, was not an option My son and I in a little shack no modern utilities, pitch oil stove hovering when it becomes dark only the moonlight, where the branches wave. Now he is a man, no education hustling a little errand he end up in an altercation his body lay near the stand pipe. By: Simon Laurie 2:D |
FATHER GONENo more father I can see
Father gone, father gone Leaving me alone to watch the sun, Father gone, father gone. No more me and Dad it is just me No more walking in the garden with Dad it is just me Father gone, Father gone, Leaving me alone. Father gone so far away Leaving me here alone Lonely I am going to be Father gone, father gone. By: Savita Rampersad 4:B |
CLOTHESHow could she still breathe?
Your smell is still there Her life is damaged You don't even care You fought her You slaughtered Every memory as her father You grin with no shame... She marinates with pain. She screams in her sleep And falls to her feet Endless cries She skips heart beats She has no life anymore She has no clue You raped Because her clothes provoked you... By: Sheresse Lynch |
